ABOUT THE DEVELOPER

Marcus W. Montgomery is a native of Washington, DC.  At a young age, he honed his skills in land planning and engineering while in the employ of several prominent engineering firms in the area.  His entrepreneurial spirit and expertise led him to found his own engineering firm.  Strong in the belief that lifestyle matters and his desire to create picture perfect communities, he went on to found Montgomery Land Development.

Over the past 20 years, Mr. Montgomery’s primary focus has been on the design and development of private, guard gated, country club communities:  The award winning Cross Creek Club, located in Montgomery and Prince George’s Counties, and River Creek, located in Leesburg, VA.  To date, River Creek has been his crowning achievement, winning countless design, landscaping and amenity commendations, and has been honored with the highest achievement of "Community of the Year" several years running.  Mr. Montgomery proudly introduced the third Montgomery Signature Community, Oak Creek, located in historic central Prince George’s County.  Oak Creek is already exceeding everyone’s expectations.

Mr. Montgomery has served as President of the Suburban Maryland Engineers Society and actively supports many activities and organizations within the land planning and engineering community.  As a veteran of his trade, he has participated in the creation, planning and development of over three million square feet of office and retail space, and over 9,000 residential units.

Mr. Montgomery is joined by two of his three sons in this expanding family business.
